F.Y.I. THE ZULU HUNTING DANCE:

F.Y.I. THE ZULU HUNTING DANCE:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aBpMHxtZeMA = Johnny Clegg - "The Crossing"
One very moving dance in sacred circle dance is the Bull Dance: a dance that originated in the cramped confines of the mine dormitories imitating a bull with the arms held aloft and the legs brought down with a thump. The rural girls have their own version. gatherings is “The Crossing,” chor

eographed by Ted and Andrea Angeline-Erhard and danced to the song by Johnny Clegg. http://zulu-culture.co.za/zulu_dances.php

In Zulu tradition, when someone dies, especially if suddenly and violently, their soul does not immediately go to the next world. Rather, there is a period in which it wanders, trying to find its way. The Zulus use a special chant to help the soul with this journey.

Johnny Clegg’s band member and friend was killed in South Africa in 1992. Mr. Clegg combined the Zulu chant with his own material, and created a moving song to honor his friend. (See Mr. Clegg perform the song at www.youtube.com/watch?v=FoaVTRSPCKM . Read the lyrics at www.johnnyclegg.com/lyrics/hdd.html#2.)

Mr. and Ms. Angeline-Erhard heard the song, and its accompanying story, at one of Mr. Clegg’s concerts, and were moved to choreograph a dance to the music. Part of the dance is done holding hands, the circle moving as one. When dancing the other part, dancers move their arms as well as their legs, making gestures as if bringing energy from their hearts and sharing it with the spirit world.

Mr. Angeline-Erhard shares what the dance means to him: “The dance, the music, is about opening your heart to spirit…people trying to make their way into the spirit world… It’s a dance we can use to honour that part of our lives we all go through: death… It has a really important place in my life… When I hear about someone who died, I immediately think about them making their crossing… When my mother died about a year ago…after a long illness…I just danced it myself.”

Dancer Michael Summers-McGuinness says, “Every time I hear this song and visualize the dance, tears well up in my eyes. The emotion of guidance, of crossing to the other side reminds me of the loved ones that have at one time been in my life and have crossed over into eternity. The dance embodies that journey, it is very experiential.” Mr. Summers-McGuinness and his wife Tai led “The Crossing” at their recent dance circle in Framingham (see: www.examiner.com/x-11871-Boston-Pagan-Examiner~y2010m4d7-Sacred-circle-dance-in-Framingham-Sunday-afternoon ).

“PLEASE HELP OUT!”

“PLEASE HELP OUT!”
These are photos that were taken of my visit Bhekulwandle, a Zulu township near Durban, on the east coast of South Africa 2008. Inside this modest home lays this littler boy’s Dad and the Husband to his Mother who is holding his little sister. Since then, Dad has died and Mom who also contracted AIDS has past also. Leaving this little boy, who was so proud to wear my Canada flag pin, to now be Mother and Dad to both him and his baby sister.
Both of us have dreams, I told him about my puppies at home he introduced me guardedly to his friend and puppy. This little boys Dad lies weak and alone in his bed. He’s given up and refuses to eat or drink as he knows his fate and as far as he is concerned the food would just be a waist on him, and then there would be more for his Wife and children.
Volunteering that year for short moment with the Seed of Hope, I found one of the things this organization does is about getting people into better homes. You can see that these mud shacks only need but a hard rain to wash totally away and they do. It also assists the people who are suffering alone that need support, encouragement, and HOPE. In many cases, people will choose not to get help because often the embarrassment of their situation is worse than the suffering that they are experiencing (sometimes the suffering can be intense). We're so thankful to have two amazing community workers like Dan & Kerry Wiens who feel called to daily go out into the community and visit those who are alone and afraid. AIDS Care = /http://theseedofhope.org/projects/aids-care
Your support will enable residents of this township and surrounding community to receive medical attention, join an AIDS support group, send their children to after-school and spiritual activities learn a vocational skill. By sharing your resources, you have in fact shared HOPE, and the powerful effect of that HOPE is seen daily by the men and women who serve at the Seed of Hope. http://theseedofhope.org/
Dan & Kerry Wiens have been serving since 2009 and have a real heart for South Africa, Especially in seeing impoverished communities transformed by God's grace. They serve with Seed of Hope, a faith-based community development organization in Bhekulwandle, a Zulu township near Durban, on the east coast of South Africa.
To send your support to Dan & Kerry Wiens go to:

Or to directly share with the Seed Of Hope:
P.S. I have lived a better life than most on this planet. I am blessed really and if I could trade my life to better this little boy’s, GOD knows that I would do it in a flash!
With LOVE to you all and with all that heaven will allow.
“PLEASE HELP OUT!”
Sincerely,
Sir Richard…

JUST A THOUGHT, OF WHY WE ARE ALL HERE?

JUST A THOUGHT, OF WHY WE ARE ALL HERE? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aBpMHxtZeMA Maybe and yes, I could be very wrong in my belief that we all started out from heaven, in some shape or form I do not know but again I believe, we were the ones who choose to come to Earth. For whatever reason, for we just forgot the purpose of this at our birth. GOD our Father loves us dearly and yet is concerned that we came to this very broken world. Maybe simply it is just a test, maybe just simply to bring Glory to His name! For I believe He allowed us to come here because we all have a purpose of some sort on this tiny rock that we all co-inhabit…
Some make it, yet others do not. It is after all a very broken world, which we exist on, full of evil things, disease, hunger and want. Some of us are blessed with much, some not so much and some sadly return to our Father in short order. Maybe it is just to show that we can find our way back by our own evolved Faith and also by helping others along the way? Who knows, but one thing for sure is that we will all return to heaven one day, to present ourselves before GOD. To let Him know how we did and explain if we either brought Glory to His name, or not, as we are all really part of Him. Maybe that is one reason OF WHY WE ARE ALL HERE?
This thought is written for you with LOVE and all that heaven will allow by Sir Richard…
