Since Joyce passed, and it seems that every night on the news one see’s the new horror of the day in our world. I asked GOD why do we have to go through such earthly pain? Yes, there are many, many spots of beauty that GOD has made and many moments of love and happiness which we all share but why the pain & suffering? Could we all not just go straight to heaven an leave it all behind. GOD answered, or without bugging my friendly Pastor. To find out why God allows suffering, we need to think back to the time when suffering began. When Satan led Adam and Eve into disobeying GOD, an important question was raised. Satan did not call into question GOD’s power. Even Satan knows that there is no limit to GOD’s power. Rather, Satan questioned GOD’s right to rule. By calling GOD a liar who withholds good from His subjects, Satan charged that GOD is a bad ruler. (Genesis 3:2-5 2 The woman said to the serpent, “We may eat fruit from all the trees in the garden, 3 but GOD did say, ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.’ 4 “You will not certainly die,” the serpent said to the woman. 5 “For GOD knows that when you eat from it, your eyes will be opened and you will be like GOD, knowing good and evil.” Satan implied that mankind would be better off without GOD’s rule. Adam and Eve rebelled against GOD. In effect, they said: ‘We do not need GOD as our Ruler. We can decide for ourselves what is right and what is wrong.’ How could GOD settle that issue? How could He teach all intelligent creatures that the rebels were wrong and that His way truly is best? GOD had stated His purpose to fill the earth with the offspring of Adam and Eve, and He wanted them to live in an earthly paradise. Besides that, getting rid of the rebels in Eden would not have answered the question that had been raised regarding GOD’s right to rule.

Let us consider this example; Imagine that a teacher is telling his students how to solve a difficult problem. A clever but rebellious student claims that the teacher’s way of solving the problem is wrong. Implying that the teacher is not capable and this rebel insists that he knows a much better way to solve the problem. Some students might think that he is right, and they also become rebellious. What should the teacher do? If he throws the rebels out of the class, what will be the effect on the other students? Will they not believe that their fellow student and those who joined him are right? All the other students in the class might lose respect for the teacher, thinking that he is afraid of being proved wrong but suppose that the teacher allows the rebel to show the class how he would solve the problem. GOD has done something similar to what the teacher does. Remember that the rebels in Eden were not the only ones involved. How GOD handled the rebellion would greatly affect all those angels and eventually all of GOD’s intelligent creations. So, what has GOD done? He has allowed Satan to show how he would rule mankind. In my simple teacher example, the teacher knows that the rebel and the students on his side are wrong but he also knows that allowing them the opportunity to try to prove their point will benefit the whole class. When the rebels fail, all the loyal to the teacher students will see that the teacher is the only one qualified to lead the class. They will understand why the teacher thereafter removes any rebels from the class. Similarly, GOD knows that all honest hearted humans and angels will benefit from seeing that Satan and his fellow rebels have failed and that humans cannot govern themselves. Like Jeremiah of old, they will learn this vital truth; (“LORD GOD, I know that people’s lives are not their own; it is not for them to direct their steps. Why though, has GOD allowed suffering to go on for so long? Why does He not prevent bad things from happening? Well, consider two things that the teacher in my example would not do. First, he would not stop the rebel student from presenting his case. Second, the teacher would not help the rebel to make his case. Similarly, consider two things that GOD has determined not to do. First, He has not stopped Satan and those who side with Him from trying to prove that they are right. Allowing time to pass has (one GOD day could be in the millions of years, is my opinion), thus time for us has been necessary. In the thousands of years of human history, mankind has been able to try every form of self-rule, or human government. Mankind has made some advances in science and other fields, but injustice, poverty, crime, and war have grown ever worse. Second, GOD has not helped Satan to rule this world. If GOD were to prevent horrible crimes, for instance, would He not, in effect, be supporting the case of the rebels? Would GOD not be making people think that perhaps humans can govern themselves without disastrous results? If GOD were to act in that way, He would become party to a lie. What, though, about all the harm that has been done during the long rebellion against God? We do well to remember that GOD is Sovereign, Omnipresent, the Almighty. Therefore, He can and will undo the effects of mankind’s suffering. As we have already learned, the ruining of our planet will be undone by the turning of the earth into Paradise. The effects of sin will be removed through Faith in JESUS CHRIST’s ransom sacrifice and the effects of even death have been reversed by means of His resurrection. GOD will use JESUS CHRIST “to break up the works of Satan.” (1 John 3:8 8 The one who does what is sinful is of the Satan, because what Satan has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God JESUS CHRIST appeared, was to destroy the Satan’s works.) GOD will bring all of this about at just the right time, or as I said above, His time. Some might wonder, couldn’t all this suffering have been prevented if GOD had created Adam and Eve in such a way that they could not rebel? To answer that question, you need to remember one of the most precious gifts that GOD has given us is “CHOICE”. GOD made humans that have been created with free will. Do you realize what a precious gift that is? GOD has made countless living things and these are driven largely by instinct. Though I do believe that all the people which the Nazi’s murdered, their lives were not taken in vain.

As the Nazi railway time tables gave these people that were transported to the East trains priority #1. That allowed ammo and supply trains to lag. Even hospital trains transporting the wounded troops back to Germany were a low priority. Causing the needless deaths of many Nazi troops, hence Hitler's war effort got messed up big time by his priority #1 transportation of those poor souls to the East on the death trains.
A true World War effort to destroy this Beast and his minions of Satan! They died not in vain but still it would have been better not to die at all!

I just finished watching a TV Miniseries titles Spartacus. It gives one a better visual of what the Pax-Romana world was like during the time of JESUS CHRIST.
Though they could have used fewer gallons of Stage Blood and far less acts of sex, though they were very true to this period in world history but I am a much older man now.
On high definition TV, the only flaws in this well done show, was the modern eye make up on female Domina and Slave alike, along with shaved under arms, which I did not believe women of that era did. Yes a knit pick in history for me, so I checked:
NORTH AMERICAN WOMEN after Greco/Roman times had no need to shave their underarms before about 1915 – after all, who ever saw them? Even the word “underarm” was considered scandalous, what with it being so near certain other interesting body parts. Then arrived the sleeveless dress. An ad in the fashion magazine Harper’s Bazaar decreed that to wear it (and certainly to wear it while participating in “Modern Dancing”), women would need to first see to “the removal of objectionable hair.” They didn’t need much convincing, and by the early ’20s, hairy underarms were so last decade, at least in America.
LEGS SHAVED:
The 1920s fashion was risqué on the bottom half, too, but most women of the era didn’t seem to feel the need to shave their legs, and when hemlines dropped again in the 1930s, the point became moot. The 1940s, however, brought even shorter skirts, sheerer stockings, and the rise of leggy pin-ups such as Betty Grable. “The removal of objectionable hair” suddenly applied to a lot more surface area.
To be sure, women had been concerned about the appearance of their hair again since time immemorial, but (sensibly) only the stuff you could see. Prior to World War I, this meant scalp hair and for an unlucky few facial hair. Around 1915, however, sleeveless dresses became popular, opening up a whole new field of female vulnerability for marketers to exploit. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wFYZOkK8xZo
According to Harper's Bazaar Magazine the underarm campaign began in May, 1915, in Harper's Bazaar, a magazine aimed at the upper crust. The first ad "featured a waist-up photograph of a young woman who appears to be dressed in a slip with a toga-like outfit covering one shoulder. Her arms are arched over her head revealing perfectly clear armpits. The first part of the ad read "Summer Dress and Modern Dancing combine to make necessary the removal of objectionable hair!"
Within three months, of this Harper's Bazaar Ad, the once-shocking term "underarm" was being used. A few ads mentioned hygiene as a motive for getting rid of hair, but most appealed strictly to the ancient yearning to be hip and in style or as late wife Joyce told me once, "JUST BECAUSE". The Woman of Fashion ads said the underarm must be as smooth as the face, read a typical pitch.
This budding obsession with underarm hair drifted down to different female classes fairly slowly, roughly matching the widening popularity of sheer and sleeveless dresses. Anti-arm hair ads began appearing in middlebrow McCall's magazine in 1917. Women's razors and depilatories didn't show up in the Sears Roebuck catalog until 1922, the same year the company began offering dresses with sheer sleeves. By then the underarm battle was largely won. The anti-leg hair campaign was more fitful. The volume of leg ads never reached the proportions of the underarm campaign. Women were apparently more ambivalent about calling attention to the lower half of their anatomy, perhaps out of fear that doing so would give the male of the species ideas in a way that naked underarms didn't.
Besides, there wasn't much practical need for shaved legs. After rising in the 1920s, hemlines dropped in the 1930s and many women were content to leave their leg hair alone. Still, some advertisers as well as an increasing number of fashion and beauty writers harped on the idea that female leg hair was a curse. Again my late wife Joyce told one of her daughters, if you start shaving, it will just grow in thicker. Though no one says so, what may have put the issue over the top was the famous WWII pinup or Bomber nose art, of the actress Betty Grable displaying her awesome long legs. Showing off one's legs became sort of a patriotic act. That plus shorter skirts and sheer stockings, which looked dorky with leg hair beneath, made the anti-hair pitch an easy sell.
Some argue that there's more to this than short skirts and sleeveless dresses. Greco/Roman statues of women in antiquity had no pubic hair, suggesting that hairless was some sort of ideal of feminine beauty embedded in Western culture. To my oldest daughter you are right, a lot of Western culture never got the message. As Greek women today (and Mediterranean women generally) don't shave their body hair. The practice has been confined largely to English-speaking women of North America and Great Britain, although one hears it's slowly spreading elsewhere around the world and yes, even to men. Today’s High Definition TV reveals much, I would say.

For there is a pain that comes with the loss of a friend, or loved one, as I Loved and still Love them all and think & I know from experience that it's going to "Hurt Me", for a Long, Long time.
It is this pain, which I feel like the ghost pain of what I think an amputee must feel.
For it keeps me awake, with no meds to pain dissipate, GOD must be busy though I pray & He helps in many ways. Still this ghostly pain will not go away…
Lack of sleep and no one worthy; awake this late that I can call.
For in my agony it makes me think up ways, of how I could painlessly end this pain.
If I get any sicker that would be a way but again either way, I would only anger many of you and my usually inventive mind still cannot or will not, figure a painless way out?

Though I am not our LORD JESUS CHRIST, His pain upon the cross for all of us makes mine feel like a few drops of rain, compared to His world changing torrent.
Yes, I do miss Joyce, I miss talking to Joyce, I miss touching Joyce and being touched.
Though just for a brief moment each morning. I feel Joyce sleeping beside me and waiting for me to awaken her with a cup of coffee. So, I savvier this delusion for the comfort it provides. Even if it is just to trick me awake, then I end up drinking that coffee for her.
GOD; who once again is anointing my aching body with a ghostly reflection of Joyce’s and my past.
