AUSTRIAN M1842 SWORD SOCKET BAYONET

AUSTRIAN M1842 SWORD SOCKET BAYONET
“Augustin Kammerbuchse Bayonet”
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ocNbuC7tm0U
Type: Austrian M1842 sword socket bayonet.
Armory marks on top of blade near socket

The side of the shank has regimental stamping:
HG 3.12  and a 4 star pattern on trop of the blade near socket.
Bayonet Maker Country: Germany for Austria then exported to CSA.
Use Example: The CSA 17th South Carolina had their eight center companies
armed with percussion converted Brown Bess muskets.
The socket is 4 ¼ inches in length.
The muzzle ring is about 23 mm in diameter re-configured to fit.
Locking ring is missing and this was my haggle point,
which I haggled down for it.
Blade Length: 23.5 inches
Overall Length: 28.5 inches
Scabbard: Leather but in this case missing.
This is an extremely rare bayonet other than missing Locking Ring.
It is in Great Shape – Straight and True.
