A SLIGHT FEAR!

A SLIGHT FEAR!
That growth on my temple which some of you may know about. The Doctor says that I have melanoma and very soon, I will get quickly operated on
To see if it is malignant. Seeking JESUS CHRIST for strength, as I am sick to my stomach with fear as this is the second time that I have had Cancer.
The melanoma, shocked the heck out of me when found out Friday and because it is this, as soon as walk in to the hospital on Monday. I go to the head of the line and have the melanoma removed on my right temple for a biopsy to see if it is the benign or malignant kind. I was in shock last night but this morning after a sleep of nightmares and awakening often.
This morning, I had a 5 alarm panic and anxiety attack. I am bit better now but it will build up again on Sunday night as I fear operations. Thank you for caring, sincerely yours Richard.

Well the Cancer I had 10 years ago, when they said that I had 1 year to live. Was in remission but now just less than a month after saying that. I now have a new cancer!
Went to the Doctor Friday January 31st  and they said for sure that my new tumor is skin Cancer. As an off the cuff remark and though not confirmed but to placate me. On Monday February 3rd they said it sorta looks like it is Basal Cell Carcinoma Cancer = But again, they are not sure yet as the lab results will give a better definite answer.

No matter what I am scheduled for another surgery to have a surgeon cut away the rest of this Cancerous Tumor, down to its margins as they say.
Ms.Dr. Taylor removed what she could of this tumor and she was very good, so I told her that she gets a Star for not hurting me!
I also had the help, which I believe comes from JESUS CHRIST, as this is my second Cancer and I cannot go through last Monday and all the other visits they said that I would have to do without the help of JESUS CHRIST AMEN!

HOW you've become the person, the one you know to the person you could have been? Without Faith in JESUS CHRIST and your dreams!
Also your own Personal Growth, Friends, People that you Love and also REALLY ACTUALLY LOVE YOU!
You need but a few of these but GOD is ultimately the one who is really needed to nurture your FAITH in Him.
For FAITH is like water that is for a plant. For without FAITH, if you were a plant, like a plant with no water, you become only lifeless dirt and you will only wither and die.
Without FAITH you actually become NAKED, open to the elements and by then, you will have lost all HOPE to and without FAITH AND HOPE you will lose your FAITH in GOD.
Yet if you keep your FAITH, it is said GOD when you meet Him. He will wipe every tear from our eyes and there will be no more death, or mourning, or crying, or pain, for the old order of things will pass away as GOD will make it so.”
For in my humble mind it is also then that I will see my Joyce once again, onto and till the end of time. AMEN!

Why this you ask ? Well my Buddy Ms. Vicki (my American Cousin) brought this thought to my mind today of enjoying a nice warm sandy beach that we could all enjoy. That would be so cool and I would love to be warm! If I won the Lotto I would bring a few of you along, as sharing good weather is always a good thing.
Because I am sick of Calgary, Cold Weather and this Cancer Crap so to see why here are some, Truths about Calgary:

1.Calgary is pronounced Calgree, or in today’s economy = Calgreed. Well, this has actually always has been the reality.

2.When driving in downtown Calgary, follow this simple rule: 4th, 5th, 6th, 9th, 11th, and 12th are one-ways east and west. Macleod, 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, and 9th are one-ways north-south, I think?

3.Also, unlike the boring grid system of Toronto, Calgary streets are laid out in a quaint quadrant system. One sign on 16th Avenue North (West) reads: "14th Street West South." Don't worry. It will all be clear if you ever move here to you in about four years.

4.Allow yourself several days to find the front entrance of TD Center for the first time.

5.The phrase "You can't get there from here" was invented in Calgary.

6.There is no need in Calgary to worry about raccoons going through your garbage, banging around and waking you up at night.
However, there is an occasional moose, deer, cougar, bear, and many coyotes, or the occasional for no reason weapon discharge.

7.Unlike the long, languid days of dappled sunlight filtering through red maple leaves anywhere else, autumn in Calgary lasts three days, in which leaves turn yellow then fall off. Snow and wind is what you are in for as the rest of the year. Then to be punctuated by two weeks of summer during the Calgary Stampede. Spring, Winter and Fall are actually the same season. To be honest, we only have 2 seasons Winter and July.

8.Remember that when they are running the chuck wagon races at the Calgary Stampede. That you need to get your tent poles and stove in the back of your chuck wagon and if your outrider is late, it's a two-second penalty. This is important, I guess?

9.Also remember that during Stampede, its yahoo, not yeehaw.

10.Ginger beef and the "red eye" (Beer with Clamato Juice) were invented in Calgary, but who cares.

11.That “Shaganappi” is not a dirty word, as it is means lacings made of rawhide and we have named many man made objects with this Cree word ie; a Library Branch and road as an example
.
Some Myths About Calgary:
1. "I can be downtown from Shawnessy (a suburb of Calgary) in 20 minutes!" Ha - good luck...

2. "It's a dry cold." This one is used at our annual December to February freeze. Actually 40C below zero, as it is the same as 40F below zero and there is no dry or damp about it!

3. Upon arrival at Calgary airport, you will be taken into a small room and frisked for rats as Alberta is a rat free Province. We are a rat free province but the frisking will be done for other stupid things.

Good News About Calgary:
-Calgary has no stifling humidity.
-Bad news: The moisture content in Calgary’s air has been scientifically proven to be equal to that of a Corn Flake.

What we need in the world of stress, anxiety attacks plus depression is a group of volunteers who can just talk to people like me when in distress. The Distress Line just asks if you are going to kill yourself. If you made a plan but if you have not and are not planning too. They do not want to talk and you are dismissed. If I had someone to talk to as I am alone and suffer from angxiety, panic attacks plus depression. Just to even have someone just listen to me, would help people like me out.

This may be of interest to you or maybe not, for I believe that this may be true for some of us who call ourselves, “Christian”.
For the real tragedy these days, is that there are many Christians who do not even relate to unbelievers unless they absolutely have too...

WELL FOLKS, THAT IS WHAT HAS TO CHANGE AND RIGHT NOW!
For we don’t need to WITNESS more, we need to RELATE more, so that our WITNESSING WILL MEAN MORE! Because if we want WHAT WE WITNESS to be truly more, then we need to be in places, where we REALLY MAKE A DIFFERENCE! Again, this can start with the next PERSON/HOME anywhere from where you are right now, or whom you are soon to meet.
Being too entrenched in a Christian subculture can actually be VERY detrimental to us. The more time we spend with only believers, the less time that we are in the company of non-Christians. Some Christians act as if they have to endure non-Christians in their lives, implying that the less they have to be around them, the better? Thoughts like these are truly very sad!
So we may tell our story to people who don’t want to hear it and didn’t even ask. Even if they don’t mind hearing it, there may be no context to our story. Because, from their own POINT OF VIEW our story may be not relatable to their lives? Hence, we continue to be strangers to each other.
I’ve sensed from some, that if it were possible to be surrounded by ONLY CHRISTIANS all of the time, that this would be the most desirable. Desirable for some, perhaps, for simple safety and comfort, but not for sharing “HIS LOVE” with anyone else!
