"HALLELUJAH!"

I've heard there was a secret chord
That David played, and it pleased the Lord
But you don't really care for music, do ya?
It goes like this
The fourth, the fifth
The minor fall, and the major lift
The baffled King composing Hallelujah.
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah...

Your faith was strong but you needed proof
You saw her bathing on the roof
Her beauty and the moonlight, overthrew ya
She tied you to her kitchen chair
She broke your throne and she cut your hair
And from your lips she drew the Hallelujah.
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah...

Well, maybe there's a God above
But all I've ever learned from love
Was how to shoot somebody who outdrew ya
It's not a cry, that you hear at night
It's not someone who's "Seen The Light"
It's a cold and it's a broken and Hallelujah...
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelu...
Hallelujah
Oh yeah you know
Hallelujah
Oh yeah..
Hallelujah
Oh yeah you know
Hallelujah...
Hallelujah
Hallelujah.

With Love for you from God
&
also from Sir Richard...
P.S. May our Next Year be Happier and did you know that Hallelujah is a Hebrew word meaning "Praise Yahweh!". Amen?

THE MEANING OF LIFE

Cousins - THE MEANING OF LIFE
Is simple, that is having someone say "I LOVE YOU" and mean it.
Once said, it can not be taken back but only hidden.
It is never gone...

The Night John Winston Lennon Was Murdered

First listen to a Great Song:
http://www.youtube.com/v/QmcPgmvLd3s?fs=1&hl=en_US&rel=0

As I remember:
9:10 pm Calgary City time December 8th 1980,
I was in my taxi and it was raining that night.
Very strange for an Albertan winter, as I was mostly concerned about driving on the frozen roads later.
Rain is good though, as it brings me fares so as long as I logged many trips then maybe I could code 6 early that night and skip the city street curling rinks later.
Two hours ahead of me at 11:10 pm New York City time, John Winston Lennon was taken to the emergency room of Roosevelt Hospital and was pronounced dead on arrival.
The news spread across the radio like wild fire, first he was shot but just wounded an then, at 10:00 pm Calgary time just like JFK, it was fatal and John Winston Lennon was no more...
Shock is what hit me first, then rage as I squeezed out as many fares, as I could but my heart was not into my work anymore.
I then was able to code 6 and went home to glue myself to the TV for the next 24 hours. In front of which I mostly I cried and cried like never before, just one more depressing event in my life!
Was it for myself I cried?
Probably, as this was the day my music died 30 years ago today,
just IMAGINE.

A Canadian Christmas Carol = The "Huron Carol"

The "Huron Carol" (or "'Twas in the Moon of Wintertime") is a Christmas hymn, written in 1643 by Jean de Brébeuf, a Christian missionary at Sainte-Marie among the Hurons in Canada. Brébeuf wrote the lyrics in the native language of the Huron/Wendat people; the song's original Huron title is "Jesous Ahatonhia" ("Jesus, he is born"). The song's melody is a traditional French folk song, "Une Jeune Pucelle" ("A Young Maid"). The well known English lyrics were written in 1926 by Jesse Edgar Middleton. This version is performed by Heather Dale, and sung in Wendat (Huron), French and English.

Ehstehn yayau deh tsaun we yisus ahattonnia
O na wateh wado:kwi nonnwa 'ndasqua entai
ehnau sherskwa trivota nonnwa 'ndi yaun rashata
Iesus Ahattonnia, Ahattonnia, Iesus Ahattonnia.

Ayoki onki hm-ashe eran yayeh raunnaun
yauntaun kanntatya hm-deh 'ndyaun sehnsatoa ronnyaun
Waria hnawakweh tond Yosehf sataunn haronnyaun
Iesus Ahattonnia, Ahattonnia, Iesus Ahattonnia.

Chretiens, prenez courage,
Jesus Sauveur est ne!
Du malin les ouvrages
A jamais sont ruines.
Quand il chante merveille,
A ces troublants appas
Ne pretez plus l'oreille:
Jesus est ne, Iesus Ahattonnia.

Oyez cette nouvelle,
Dont un ange est porteur!
Oyez! ames fideles,
Et dilatez vos coeurs.
La Vierge dans l'etable
Entoure de ses bras
L'Enfant-Dieu adorable.
Jesus est ne, Iesus Ahattonnia.

Let Christian men take heart today
The devil's rule is done;
Let no man heed the devil more,
For Jesus Christ is come
But hear ye all what angels sing:
How Mary Maid bore Jesus King.
Iesus Ahattonnia, Jesus is born, Iesus Ahattonnia.

Three chieftains saw before Noel
A star as bright as day,
"So fair a sign," the chieftains said,
"Shall lead us where it may."
For Jesu told the chieftains three:
"The star will bring you here to me."
Iesus Ahattonnia, Jesus is born, Iesus Ahattonnia.

MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM CANADA!
For you with Love, from Sir Richard...

Laughing With

No one laughs at God in a hospital
No one laughs at God in a war
No one’s laughing at God
When they’re starving or freezing or so very poor

No one laughs at God when the doctor calls
After some routine tests
No one’s laughing at God
when it’s gotten real late
And their kid’s not back from that party yet

No one laughs at God when their airplane
Starts to uncontrollably shake
No one’s laughing at God
When they see the one they love hand in hand
with someone else and they hope that they’re mistaken

No one laughs at God when the cops knock on their door
And they say “We’ve got some bad news, sir,”
No one’s laughing at God
When there’s a famine, fire or flood

But God can be funny
At a cocktail party while listening to a good God-themed joke or
When the crazies say He hates us
and they get so red in the head
You think that they’re about to choke

God can be funny
When told He’ll give you money if you just pray the right way
And when presented like a genie
Who does magic like Houdini
Or grants wishes like Jiminy Cricket and Santa Claus

God can be so hilarious
Ha ha, ha ha

No one laughs at God in a hospital
No one laughs at God in a war
No one’s laughing at God
when they’ve lost all they got
And they don’t know what for

No one laughs at God on the day they realize
that the last sight they’ll ever see is a pair of hateful eyes
No one’s laughing at God
When they’re saying their goodbyes

But God can be funny
At a cocktail party while listening to a good God-themed joke or
When the crazies say He hates us and they get so red in the head
you think that they’re about to choke

God can be funny
When told He’ll give you money if you just pray the right way
And when presented like a genie
Who does magic like Houdini
Or grants wishes like Jiminy Cricket and Santa Claus
God can be so hilarious

No one laughs at God in a hospital
No one laughs at God in a war
No one laughs at God in a hospital
No one laughs at God in a war
No one’s laughing at God in a hospital
No one’s laughing at God in a war

No one’s laughing at God
When they’re starving or freezing or so very poor

No one’s laughing at God
No one’s laughing at God
No one’s laughing at God
We’re all “laughing with God”

It Is September The 11th, From Me To You

http://www.youtube.com/v/O0-0PtHNHQU&rel=1

It is a crisp, cool, foggy fall day.
My walk with Tribble dog is now through.
It is September the 11th, from me to you.

Frantic emails from friends at work,
It’s on the net and radio,
can you see this on your home TV?
A small plane crash, like Patsy Cline’s Mountain but is it all true?
It is September the 11th, from me to you.

The anchorwoman says that there is just a little bit of falling debris.
“Oh my God!” the whole freaking building is coming down,
is what I see!
4 – 5 – 6 more planes are on the way?
No one has a clue…
It is September the 11th, from me to you.

My wife and I are now going to work, past the Calgary International Airport we go.
We see all the passenger planes parked wing tip to wing tip,
row upon row.
No jet contrails, no aircraft sounds
and for the first time in my life,
only the birds flew.
It is September the 11th, from me to you.

Our minds are not on our work,
as we are numb through this whole day.
For we hear stories of those who died,
helping those who had to stay.
Later more stories of those who bravely stopped the evil that flew.
It is September the 11th, from me to you.

Entombed in the mountains of debris are up to 3,000 dead,
what can one do?
To fight the evil of man,
God has shown me the same as you.
That we must help those who are down,
troubled and stand up for love and what is true.
For from this hell we should have learned,
that this was our wake up call,
that we all went through.
It is September the 11th, from me to you.

Eric, beloved husband of Lorna of Calgary, passed away on Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at the age of 64 years.
It is well known that Eric served the community with passion and dedication for his entire working life.
One of the reasons that I became a Volunteer for Child Find Alberta
and Team Hope.
Sadly I just found out today that Eric has already been laid to rest in Cardston Cemetery in Cardston, Alberta.

Eric gave me the strength and the help when I needed it to recover
my daughter 21 years ago.
He also taught me what it means to be a Volunteer and he is one of the reasons that I still volunteer with, Team Hope to this day!
For you will be missed Eric but I will never forget you.
May God also give your family the strength to go through this very difficult time.
May You Rest In Peace Eric.
Sincerely with Tears,

Richard…

For My Wife From Sir Richard...

At times I just don't know
How you could be anything but beautiful
I think that I was made for you
And you were made for me

And I know that I will never change
Cause we've been friends through rain or shine
For such a long, long time

Laughing eyes and smiling face
It's seems so lucky just to have the right
Of telling you with all my might
You're beautiful tonight

And I know that you will never stray
Cause ya been that way from day to day
For such a long, long time

And when ya hold me tight
How could life be anything but beautiful
I think that I was made for you
And you were made for me

And I know that I will never change
Cause we've been friends through rain or shine
For such a long, long time

And I must say that it means so much to me
Just to be the one who's telling you
I'm telling you
That you're beautiful...

Love From Your Heart

Love From Your Heart

http://www.youtube.com/v/lCUqdYP1GRo&hl=en_US&fs=1?rel=0

Does Love from your heart, dissipate like chimney smoke?
Or is it rock hard like granite, lasting for all of our eternities...
Do you stop Loving someone that you once Loved or have lost?
I think not, you store it and bring it out like a photo album.
To view and at times even share but it is stored and never stops.
Can you Love more than one person,
or is your personality like that of a single railway track?
Never diverting only going one direction and never to be shared,
I think not.
Love, is like the spokes of a bicycle wheel.
Racing out to as many as one needs to move on and always centered back.
To the Love from your heart...

To My American Cousins. "Happy 4th of July"

To My American Cousins. "Happy 4th of July"
http://www.youtube.com/v/MDkP2WaEYFE&hl=en_US&fs=1?rel=0

That American culture might evolve:
In 1780 Massachusetts’s patriot John Adams
wrote to his wife Abigail, outlining his vision of how American culture might evolve:
"I must study politics and war," he prophesied, so "that our sons and daughters may have liberty to study mathematics and philosophy." They will add to their studies geography, navigation, commerce and agriculture. He continued, so that their children may enjoy the "right to study painting, poetry & music"

10 Surprising Facts About the 4 of July!
Everyone loves Independence Day, the quintessential American holiday, full of parades, picnics, and surprising
facts? You bet! Be the life of the party share a few of these tasty nuggets of knowledge with your fellow picnickers this year.
1. Independence Day commemorates the formal adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. However, it was not declared a legal holiday until 1941.
2. The signing of the declaration was not completed until August 1776, the Fourth of July holiday has been
accepted as the official anniversary of U.S. independence.
3. Uncle Sam was first popularized during the War of 1812, when the term appeared on supply containers. Believe it or not, the U. S. Congress didn't adopt him as a national symbol until 1961.
4. There are many precise rules for taking care of the American flag. And speaking of flag traditions, we're sorry to report that contrary to legend, historical research has failed to confirm that Betsy Ross sewed the first flag.
5. Not all members of the Continental Congress supported a formal Declaration of Independence, but those who did were passionate about it. One representative rode 80 miles by horseback to reach
Philadelphia and break a tie vote in support of independence.
6. The first two versions of the Liberty Bell were defective and had to be melted down and recast. The third version rang every Fourth of July from 1778 to 1835, when, according to tradition, it cracked as it was being tolled for the death of Chief Justice John Marshall.
7. The American national anthem, the "Star-Spangled
Banner" is set to the tune the English song ("To Anacreon in Heaven").
8. The iron framework of the Statue of Liberty was devised by French engineer Alexandre-Gustave Eiffel, who also built the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
9. The patriotic poem "America the Beautiful" was
published on July 4, 1895 by Wellesley College professor Katharine Lee Bates*.
10. Father of the country and architect of independence George Washington held his first public office at the tender age of 17. He continued in public service until his death in 1799.

Again, Happy 4th of July, 2010!!!

“Desensitized”

I believe that through our lives we are witnessed to many daily TV images of death and destruction.
Also due to many forms of media that we interact with, which are mindless, senseless and not without their own horrors, we have evolved to being even more, "Desensitized".

Personally, I have spoken with many Parents and People who have permanently lost someone dear to them.
Though I have never experienced that horror and may God grant that I never do.
I noticed the other day that I have become sort of "Desensitized" to a personally uncomfortable point.

Desensitized so much that I do not flinch when I see it, or hear of it, or sadly I must admit, that I even now shed a tear.
Some may say, if you can become desensitized it is better for you.
Better in that you can handle it more and not go mad from despair or wrought with internal pain.
But I believe that I have actually become cold and I do not like the new “desensitized me”, not one bit.

For if being desensitized means this lack of compassion, well then I am going to turn it around.
From now on with every death and destructive event I will pause and re-attach with my inner self just as God intended us to be and without the influence of Evil’s lack of compassionate choice.
If that brings out a tear or many in me then so be it, as I will now feel for each one of these horrors on their own.
Rather than be cursed, by being “Desensitized”…

***If you wanna sing along man, then see below dig?***

Better get into what you gotta get into
Better get into it now, no slacking please
United Nations ain't really united
And the organizations ain't really organized

Riki tiki tavi mongoose is gone
Riki tiki tavi mongoose is gone
Won't be coming around for, to kill your snakes no more my love
Riki tiki tavi mongoose is gone

Everybody who read the Jungle Book knows that Riki tiki tavi's a
mongoose who kills snakes
Well when I was a young man I was led to believe there were organizations
to kill my snakes for me
ie the church, ie the government, ie school
but when I got a little older, I learned I had to kill them myself

I said Riki tiki tavi mongoose is gone
Riki tiki tavi mongoose is gone
Won't be coming around for, to kill your snakes no more my love
Riki tiki tavi mongoose is gone

People walk around they don't know what they're doing
They bin lost so long they don't know what they've been looking for
Well, I know what I'm a looking for but I just can't find it
I guess I gotta look inside of myself some more

oh oh oh inside of myself some more
oh oh oh inside of myself some more

Riki tiki tavi mongoose is gone
Riki tiki tavi mongoose is gone
Riki tiki tavi mongoose is gone
Riki tiki tavi mongoose is gone

Last time.

I saw you today, on a number twelve

This is just how my thoughts are, about you.

Hello, this is how my thoughts are, about you.

Please note that you are in my prayers, as I ask that God give you the strength and provide you with what you now need.
I do not know what more to do, as your plight has had you on my mind daily.
For like most of us, I ask what exactly are any of us perfectly clear about on these days?
How about our lives, why have things gone the way they have?
Where was God in all this?

Do you know what you ought to do next, with a deep, settled confidence that it will all work out?
Neither do I.
Oh, I’d love to wake each morning knowing exactly who I am and where God is taking me.
Zeroed in on all my relationships and undaunted in my TH calling.
It’s awesome when I do see it happen but for most of us, life seems more like driving along with a dirty windshield and then turning into the sun.
I can sort of make out the shapes ahead, and I think the light is green.
Wouldn’t a little bit of clarity go a long way right now?

Let’s start with why life which at times I feel is so darn hard.
As an example, you try to lose a little weight, but it never seems to happen.
You think of making a shift in your career, or like me, maybe like me, even someday serving God fulltime but you never actually get to it.
Perhaps a few of us do make the jump, but it rarely pans out the way we thought.
Or for some, they try to recover something in their marriage, and their spouse looks at them with a glance that says, “Nice try,” or “Isn’t it a little late for that?”

Yes, we have our faith. as we are told that in Christ, there is freedom and abundant life, a peace like a river and joy unspeakable.
Also, we have choice and the ability to share Love with each other, through family and close friends.
That is what gets me through, so forgive me for being so preachy.

Glory - For Now We Are Free!

Glory - For Now We Are Free!

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, “Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous?” Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn’t serve the world. There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We were born to manifest the glory of God that is within us and as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others. (Our Deepest Fears by Marianne Williamson)

When I first read this quote, I thought, No, that’s not true. We don’t fear our glory. We fear we are not glorious at all. We fear that at bottom, we are going to be revealed as disappointments. Marianne is just trying to make a nice speech, like a sermon, to buoy us up for a day or two. But as I thought about it more, I realized we do fear our glory. We fear even heading this direction because, for one thing, it seems prideful. Now pride is a bad thing, to be sure, but it’s not prideful to embrace the truth that you bear the image of God. The Bible says it brings glory to God. We walk in humility because we know it is a glory bestowed. It reflects something of the Lord’s glory!

Fear

Fear, motivates us (or is it stress) from dawn to dusk.
There is no fear but fear itself, so once I heard.
Stress makes us crawl out of bed, catch the bus, climb those stairs.
Complete those tasks, be careful, watch over your shoulder.
Fearful you are of losing ones environment, family member, friends, Love.
Both extremes, or are they just one in the same?
Who knows, as it still motivates us from dusk to dawn, Fear.

For All You Moms

Suo Gân
Sleep my baby, at my breast,
'Tis a mother's arms round you.
Make yourself a snug, warm nest.
Feel my love forever new.
Harm will not meet you in sleep,
Hurt will always pass you by.
Child beloved, always you'll keep,
In sleep gentle, mother's breast nigh.

Sleep in peace tonight, sleep,
O sleep gently, what a sight.
A smile I see in slumber deep,
What visions make your face bright?
Are the angels above smiling,
At you in your peaceful rest?
Are you beaming back while in
Peaceful slumber on mother's breast?

Do not fear the sound, it's a breeze
Brushing leaves against the door.
Do not dread the murmuring seas,
Lonely waves washing the shore.
Sleep child mine, there's nothing here,
While in slumber at my breast,
Angels smiling, have no fear,
Holy angels guard your rest.

Can you imagine being trapped

Can you imagine being trapped in close proximity with a follower of Christ that “YOU DO NOT LIKE”?
As there are Christians who profess that they “LOVE YOU” but they do not, as they love only themselves.
They preach the Gospel well, know all passages by rhyme and verse perfectly but in their eyes you see, only a deadness reserved for sharks.
Take comfort that you can forgive them but remember that you do not have to hang out with them.
Just let them swim away and then let God deal with them, when they eventually arrive in His net.

Please Note: That is is dedicated to those I Loved, still Love and will Love and will always Love and God only knows what is
TRUE LOVE!
Love ya,

Vimy Ridge Day Today Friday April 9th, 2010

Canadians Remember Vimy Ridge

Vimy Ridge Day remembers Canadians who fought in the battle of Vimy Ridge during World War I. The battle of Vimy Ridge, which was part of the larger battle of Arras in northern France, began on Easter Monday, which was April 9, in 1917. About 30,000 Canadians fought at Vimy Ridge and claimed victory. However, this victory came at a high cost. The Canadians suffered about 11,000 casualties. Of these, nearly 3,600 Canadians were killed.

2 Thoughts For Today

- When everything in your life is right on track, it's easy to believe that things happen for a reason; it's easy to have faith. But when things start to go wrong then it's very hard to hold on to that faith. It's hard not to wonder whose reasons these things happen for. Same with some people, you thought that they were friendly but they were only amused by you, sad really...

- I think ones love that is unremitted for someone else and not returned, is because we consider our love unconditional when we apply it to others and we then think that theirs in return, might be considered reciprocal. Hence we make our first mistake, as people are not loyal subservient quadrupeds. No worries as we all do it. It's I believe, the first mistake we all make with the ones we love most.

Christ Has Arisen! - Happy Easter :)

I Wish To Share

The important thing that I wish to share.
Is that I do care, I do feel and I have choices.
Just the same as you, as we are not at all that dissimilar.
So, take a moment to think about someone, anyone.
Push out a good thought from your head and into theirs.
Feel it?
Now you know that you are always in touch and for just a moment,
part of you, was now shared.

The Smile

The Smile
http://www.youtube.com/v/n4CQK-ML_KA&hl=en_US&fs=1&rel=0

For me it’s hard to decide where I should start and at the same time, it is very easy for it’s all there.
All the memories, the pain, the fear, the stress are all just a simple recalled flashback away.
The moment from a time long ago, when my world was turned upside down and my child abducted.
In hindsight, because of nothing more than another persons whim, of control over me.
So they could say, look at what I can do to you and you can not stop me!

Even though it is now long ago, during a time when my dreams become reality and my reality
would seem to become dreams.
To this day I am haunted, as it plays back in my dreams, this haunting is from non the less, than a smile.
A smile from the last time that I saw this person of now 20 years ago, as she walked out of Court.
Walking past me, that smile which said, I am free, unpunished and a I am feeling all powerful, as my twisted mission for you is accomplished.
For you can not stop me and just wait and see what I will do to you next...

Every night or every other night, this smile comes back into my thoughts, via my dreams.
It starts out simple enough at times, I am with my current wife, or any woman, doing some activity together.
This could be anything from doing supper dishes to attending an event but then it goes all wrong.
Things and reality twists like a very bad "Alice in Wonderland", then the kind person that I am with,
becomes that evil.
Doing tormenting things that were done to me 20 years ago and just as I start to wonder why,
once again the smile appears.
She has just morphed herself back, into my life and again with that smile.

Now Evil knows me well and plays on this event of the past to haunt me and torture me.
It's not really the past but present events, that actually bother me today.
Especially if feel I have no control over today's event, then the one event that I really truly could not control.
Comes back to basically say, hey your nothing, your hopeless and helpless and I am all powerful!

Not so Satan, as a good friend recently reminded me, that I can re-wire my daily thinking.
That I must keep in mind that this smile that is worn by that person, should be more pitied and not feared.
As I must use my strong belief in the Lord, which is very strong, to say to that smile.
In fact you are "NOT", to be feared but pitied and hence, evil looses once again!
So this is how to remove a "SMILE", that was evil from my haunted 20 year old dreams...

For I am a slave to you no more.

For we have much, In Commonality.

Hello my TH Family,
If you are wondering where does he get the time to write, well I do this as my way of relaxing.
As I always set aside time for that.

The below was written to try and help a TH member who felt troubled due to her childhood.
She wondered were was God in her life back then, so I wrote this as we share much "In Commonality" and were both "Kid Parents" before our time:

Hello *******,

My friend whom, I am sorry that I have taken so long to write you back.
First, "Thank You" for sharing as I can feel and I do understand some of what you went through.
If I may also share some of my personal horror as a child.

I am the eldest in my family and as such, my Mother leaned on me a lot.
For even today, I feel that some of me was made to grow up to early...a lost childhood but I have almost no regrets.
My parents had a rocky marriage for years and when fights broke out, I was either sent to get help next door or ride my bike to my uncle's home.
To get help from there, as this was about 2 miles away and I either ran or rode my bike.
Each year the fights got worse and worse, until 1965 my parents separated and we move to Maple Ridge B.C.

During that summer at 10 years of age I worked raspberry picking with my cousins.
Every day from 7 AM till 5 PM we worked and at the end of it all, my Mother took all of my pay as she needed the income to help with the families school supplies.
Keep in mind, that I also either took care of and was a "Kid Parent" to my siblings, as I did dishes, washed walls, even had supper made for when my Dad got up for work on his graveyard shift.
Probably not as hard an experience as yourself but from 10 to 17 but I did it all, to help out.

Finally for some lost reason in my memory, we moved back to Calgary and found a home and I, got a paper route and once again, all my money went to the family coffers.
For I even had an extra job working at a Drug store sorting pop bottles and stocking shelves.
I was now 11. This last paragraph was just a little vent, as I guess I was wrong as it still bothers me.

One night in the Spring of 1966 in the upstairs tenant who lived in that apartment had a party that my Mother went to.
I put my 2 brothers and sister to bed and had total control of the TV! Yessssssssssssssss!!
Around 3 AM my Mother returned home and sent me to bed.
Then at 4 AM, a guy from the party got into our home (why the door was open, I do not know but I found out later what B&E meant) and then it started.
My Mother screamed "No I can't please get off of me", "Your hurting me!!!" Get Off...
For I was 11 and the guy on top of me Mom, looked really, really big, so all I could do was to throw my kid brother's wooden letter blocks against Mom's door.
I even scored a hit on this creatures, head. :)
Then like a thunderstorm he left and Mom was crying and crying, I went down stairs shaking and then I heard my Mother scream "Richard!"
Bolting up stairs I found my Mother covered in blood and with her wrists slashed.
My siblings were awake by then and so I made them go to there rooms down stairs and bolted the door as they hammered at this door requesting over and over "let us see and what is wrong with Mom"???

My mother just kept ranting over and over, that Dad would for sure now take us all away from her and while this was happening, I bound up her wounds with 2 dish towels.
Started cleaning up all the blood and also called 911 plus my Dad and then all at once. the Cops, Ambulance guys and my Dad, all showed up.
My Mother was then taken away on a stretcher and we kids went to my Uncles home.
I went downstairs to the room that I was assigned to me by my Aunt and with my coat still on as soon as I laid down, I feel asleep until the next day.
My Mother recovered and had her against the law suicide charges were dropped.

The creature that caused all this was charged with break & entry, rape and did prison time for his actions.
My Dad and Mom got back together and at least we were back to the "All In The Family", existence that we kids deeply desired.
I was still Head Parent Kid but that only lasted until I hitched hiked to Height Ashbury San Francisco in 1973 (found nothing there but long haired drunks) and after this, I joined the Royal Canadian Air Force.

Thinking about us both, I believe that we have choices and sometimes for you and I, events are thrust on us against our desires.
God takes care of people like you and I, by giving us the strength and experience to handle all of these.
From this we became the dependable people that we are and yes, you and I are known to be very dependable.
I believe God also thrust us together as comrades not for fun but because we have a commonality and our strengths from the past keep us going where others would have caved in, like a house of cards.

For we are all, men and women alike created in the image of God.
Fearfully and wonderfully made, fashioned as living icons of the Bravest, Wisest, most Stunning Beautiful Being = God.
Those who have seen Him, I have read fell to their knees without even thinking about it, just as you would find yourself breathless before the Prairies at sunset, the Rockies on a clear day or the Ocean at dawn.
For that glory was shared within us, as we are really “statues of God walking about in His garden,” endowed with a strength and beauty all our own and as such, we are also blessed with being fully alive.

When I look at the night sky and see the work of His fingers in the moon and in the stars that He set in place, who are we as mere humans to think that He does not care for us?
For even as we have all heard about original sin, we have not nearly heard enough about "Original Glory", which comes before sin and is deeper to our nature.
Because if we remember and if only faintly, that in His eyes we are more than we think we are now.
The reason one would doubt there could not be Glory to their life is because that Glory, has been the object of a long and brutal war between God and Evil!
To which we are both in the front lines helping the Lord to fight everyday, each in our own way and to our last of our breaths.

Please forgive me if I sound preachy but I was touched with what you shared with me and believe that you and I have much "In Commonality".

Thanks for letting me share this vent, as you are in my prayers.

Sir Richard...

For my Team Hope Family :)

For my Team Hope Family - Something wonderful will come out of our efforts! :)

Hello my Team H.O.P.E. family,
if you are ever in doubt about what we do, may I share this email which I received recently as it reads:

"Dear Richard , are you still involved with the TH children's group? Even if your not, I stumbled upon this saved message from 2004 from you and wanted you to know, that something you said to me once when I was very down and did not know how it would all work out. You said, that good can triumph over evil and right will eventfully conquer wrong. My Son has been living with me full time for the last 3 years, with very little to none at all contact with his mom, due to her part, not the availability to see or talk to him. I miss you, as you are a good person, be well my friend. Sincerely, **** ******"

Now just think about all the lives that we have all touched, they may or may not have told us how grateful that they are.
They may not of had the time yet but I can assure you, that they think about us at least once a week!
Multiply this into "OUR" future and you will come out in sum, of many, many, more people who we have helped with our blessed talents and love.
So if you ever wonder if something wonderful will come out of our efforts - keep in mind it already has started. :)
Amazing people you all are!

Sincerely,

Sir Richard...

Tribble Reba Abbenbroek - One Year Later

My eldest puppy whom I named Tribble Reba Abbenbroek
had to be put down a year ago today due to massive kidney failure.
Tribble basically would have required a transplant to correct this problem.

That day I held Tribble as the Doctor put her down and then I then went to pieces.
Even though there was no hope for improvement, I still feel as if I murdered her.
My belief is that all good dogs go to heaven and this is where I believe Tribble is
right now waiting for me.

Many people would say, "hey", it's just a dog but Tribble was never just a dog.
For me she is family and I loved her so!
So I need not apologize for feeling so sad, as I do right now.

Well folks, forgive me if this note bothers you,
but I had to share todays remembrance with you all.
For my Tribble Dog, I dedicate this song for this is how I feel:
