CANCER SURVIVOR THOUGHTS #4

CANCER SURVIVOR THOUGHTS #4 - When Cancer Wakes Me Up!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_jiLTeiZUqc
Cancer sometimes wakes you up through the night.
Through the torment of dreams from Cancer Fear, or for me my unwanted Nerve Damage of Cancer PAIN.
Another sleepless night as Cancer awakens me yet once again…

"LORD GOD; help me make it through this night!” I pray, as Cancer now has me wide awake.
So, I try one of my comfort thoughts; “Better the PAIN you know, then the Pain Meds that you do not!”
As once I had a terrible reaction to the Pain Meds, which now make me WANT NOT.

Then as I lay me down once again to sleep, this Pain can be so BAD I have even prayed; “LORD GOD take my soul and please LORD, you can now keep.”
Or please let me sleep deeply just once, through a Cancer Pain free night!
Like before this horror my LORD and then wake me gently, with the mornings light.

PSALM 23 FOR PILOTS

PSALM 23 FOR PILOTS
http://player.vimeo.com/video/37599899

The Lord is my co-pilot; I shall not crash.
He lights my way across the darkened skies.

He steers me over high buildings and mountains.
He updates my flight log.
He guides me at night by the star of holiness for His namesake.

Yea, though I fly mid the low ceiling fog and through storms of my life.
I shall dread no danger, for Thou art with me.
Thy Love and Thy Care, they shelter me.
Thou prepares a safe runway before me in heaven for eternity.
Thou anoints the turbulence with His calm, so my aircraft flies safely.

Surely sunlight and starlight shall favor me on the voyage I take.
And I will rest in the airport of my God forever. Amen…

WAR – MY OPINION

WAR – MY OPINION
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-_tBDk4SuvA
WAR is not like what our history books portray, inside a few quick to read pages from beginning to end. It is actually a very slow hateful experience and its process really does not last only minutes but a week here, months, a year there. With all of its terrifying and horrific life altering effects lasting decades or many centuries. Till one day all the suffering and death will eventually be but history, once again printed inside a few quick to read pages. Until we have our next WAR, which all of us seem to never escape…

P.S. I still Honour all the Service People who have & had to be Wounded, Fight and Die. But because of my recent Battle with Cancer, all Life is now more Precious to me. So my views about WAR have changed. Sad that I can only Pray for The Rest Of The World to consider Lives To More Precious As Well! Hence, ONE DAY NO MORE WAR, eh?
With LOVE to you all and all that heaven will allow!

FAITH AND HOPE

FAITH AND HOPE
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CRhEvjyk_dc
What makes a person who they are? Is it the worst things they have ever done, or the best things they want or came to be? Is it the FRIENDS that they have at their end? Or the PEOPLE they have LOVED throughout their entire lives, or both? So when you find yourself in the middle of your life and you're nowhere near to where you were going. How do you find the way from the person you've become to the one you know that you could have been? Without Faith, Dreams, Growth, People that you Love, you are but as a plant with no water, which withers and dies. Without FAITH you actually become naked, open to the elements and then, you will have lost all HOPE too…
To you all with Love an all that heaven will allow!

WOULD I WANT A HEART?

WOULD I WANT A HEART?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8KKwHVj3vjw
Would I want a Heart made of Marsh Mellow and or Chocolate?
Much too sweet, yet very tasty and edible but not long lasting, or sustaining.
Would I want a Heart made of Stone?
A Stone is but cold, long lasting and hard, somewhat heavy,
with no inner warmth in it at all.
Would I want a Heart made with GOD’s Love?
Long lasting through all it does touch, warm and caring, sustaining many throughout time without measure.
Yes, this is the Heart that I would want.

HIPPO DAYS

HIPPO DAYS http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HonB2BV6fmw
Some days my computer helps me fly like an eagle. Other times, it bogs me down like a chained Hippopotamus. On “Eagle Days” I’m grateful for my computer. But there are those “Hippo Days” when I rue the day I bought one.
Once I have had to contend with a virus that invaded my computer. What bothers me most is that viruses are created maliciously. Bright people who live with darkness in their lives want to make other people miserable. What’s worse, I permitted the virus to enter my machine by opening an attachment in what I thought was an innocent e-mail.
Just as we let a virus into our computers, we also let darkness into our lives when we open ourselves unthinkingly to Evil messages that permeate our world. We let down our guard with self-driven vanity and pride, hardly noticing that which infects our minds.
But by reading GOD’s Word, and praying, we build a firewall, or barrier, to safeguard ourselves. With His help, we’ll keep our minds from becoming unwitting hosts for unwanted and evil guests.
Be positive but be aware, and guard your minds & hearts as you would your wallet.
May the grace of God be with you always!
With LOVE to you all and all that heaven will allow!
From,

Sir Richard.

FEAR - THE NEW NORM?

FEAR - THE NEW NORM?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1EVd_zghQXA&ob=av2e
I have found that when you're afraid of something, what you want more than anything else is to make it go away. You want your life back to the way it was before you found out that there was something to be afraid of. You want to build a high wall and live your old life behind it. But nothing ever stays the same. That's not your old life at all. That's your New Norm of your New Life with a wall around it. Your choice is not about going back to the way things were. Your choice is about hiding, or about going right to the heart of the thing that scares you most.
This is what I have been doing since my Cancer, Diabetes, and Heart Disease, in that I have gone to the heart of my Fear Of Dying. Well, I am not afraid anymore, for I know that I (the same as all of us), one day will be before GOD and on that Day, I will have nothing to Fear!
With LOVE to you all and all that heaven will allow!

TODAY’S LESSON

TODAY’S LESSON for me was this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-t_V1WXwR0U
If you’re nice to someone do not expect that person to reciprocate.
Forgiveness comes hard to some and it is better to forgive them, as someone has to make the first step!
People are full of surprises, which is what makes this world so interesting yet at times, so hurtful.
Remember the lessons of your past, as we are not that far from each other, and we share so much!
For as today, it is like tomorrow, and each day that I live, sometimes is just a repeat of the same.
With Love to you all and with all that heaven will allow from,

Sir Richard...

THE PROMISE OF SPRING

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pmuPbZSOeaA
THE PROMISE OF SPRING
Winter tarries much too long at four thousand feet above sea level.
Here in Calgary Alberta, spring comes late and fitfully. We had snow again last night as we are on this first week of March and probably will have some yet all the way into May as well. I’ve come to accept that spring here is really a wrestling match between winter and summer, as makes for a long time of waiting for Spring.
You see in Calgary, the flowers are pretty much gone in September.
By the first of October, the aspens start turning gold and drop their leaves in a week or two, and come November, all is gray.
Initially, I don’t mind. The coming of winter has its joys, and there are Thanksgiving and Christmas to look forward to.
Though right after the New Year, things begin to drag on...
Through February and then March, the earth remains lifeless. The whole world lies shadowed in white, brown and gray tones, like an old photograph. Winter’s novelty is long past, and by April we are longing for some sign of life some color, some hope for this is just too long.

Then last year this time, I rounded the corner into our neighborhood, and suddenly, the world was green a little bit again. What had been rock and twigs and dead mulch was a rich oriental carpet of green. I was shocked, stunned. How did it happen?

As if in disbelief, I got out of my car and began to walk through this clump of trees, touching every leaf. The birds are back as well, waking us in the morning with their glad songs, as I thought earlier that year it was my brakes squealing again. This all happened suddenly, in the twinkling of an eye.
My surprise was telling, as it seems natural to long for spring, it is another thing to be completely stunned by its return. I was truly and genuinely surprised, as if my reaction were, "Really, what are you doing here?"

Then I realized, I thought I’d never see spring again. I think in some deep place inside, I had accepted the fact that winter had become forever and so, I was shocked by the return of spring.

So I wonder, can the same thing happen for my soul? As with all the things that have happened to Joyce and I lately, I feel as if my eternal wintered soul, is longing for God’s promise of His spring. So I have to ask you my friends, what about yours?
Written by and with Love for all of you from,

Sir Richard...
